Bendy... the bent fish

Believe it or not, I'm alive much to humanity's dismay! Xanga's out and Facebook is in apparently. Or MySpace, whatever you kids like to use nowadays. :P

Although Bendy has left the world quite a while (Flushed down to the depths of the sewers thanks do Dr. D) I still think about him. (sniffsniff) So it always bothered me why Bendy was the way he was. Yes, he was always the special fish, but what made him that way? Well late night googling sometimes comes up with surprising things!

According to Ms Robyn's Fish Heath Page ....

Here are some reasons a fish may develop a bent spine.

  • If born that way, the fish may have a genetic abnormality.

  • If born that way, the fish may have incurred a developmental problem while growing inside the egg. This could be related to diseases, temperature, injury, etc.

  • If the fish was shocked via a faulty heater, pump, etc. or via lighting (striking a pond or surging through a house), this can result in a bent spine.

  • A severe injury can bend the spine. Normally though if broken, the fish would die right away.

  • Fish tuberculosis sometimes results in a gradual development of the curvature of the spine. I have seen this often in zebra danios but also in a golden orfe and a few other species. A fish with this condition (fish tuberculosis with a bent spine) is often also anorexic. See this section for more on fish tuberculosis.

  • Certain vitamin deficiences can result in spine curvature.

  • It seems that many fish nearing the ends of their lives get bent spines which usually match one of the above problems but sometimes do not.
I wonder which one of these ailments did Bendy really have? Fish TB? Victim of bullying among the fishes?

And here's a tribute from long ago:

And Yet Another Comic Strip.

It's a decently large picture, so give it time.

....And a lot of other things happened but I'm too lazy to draw them. :]

At long last -- an Update!!!

Would it not be unexpected that this post concerns the latest in the Harry Potter series? Contentwise, I shall not spoil anything. (Although you hardly need me to suppress the spoilers running amuck now)

However, if anyone misses me, well... let's just say this is how I've been:

Suffice to say, these images barely express the numerous expressions I passed through while reading this book. (Potentially enough for my family to throw me into a mental asylum)

Ah, this is just a simple comic update since who knows when I'll ever update again!

After playing at least 7 hours worth of Kingdom Hearts in one day, my mind no longer lives in the land of the Real.

Albeit the shaky hands and zombie glazed eyes, a fully unfunctional, unmotivated, and uninterested Roz will have to complete homework assignments. Or not. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA.

We need more Memorial Day weekends.

On a similar note, I have before/after scribbles!
